Windows Server 2008 End of Support is here!

Windows Server 2008 has reached end of support

The big day is finally here. The day we say good-bye to Windows Server® 2008 as it reaches end of support (EoS). If you’re still running this operating system (OS), after today you’ll find yourself with no more free support from Microsoft®, no more security updates or patches, and no more feature updates. Unfortunately, this can leave you exposed to major vulnerabilities to cybersecurity attacks, force you to pay for ongoing support (if this option is even available), and lead to mounting operational expenses.

Upgrade to Windows Server 2019

But there’s no need to panic. You can still upgrade your OS to Windows Server 2019, but you’ll want to move quickly. HPE is ready to help you upgrade to Windows Server 2019 on HPE ProLiant Gen10 servers. The upgrade will give you more than just peace of mind. You’ll benefit from next-level computing speeds and increased storage capacity, so you can do more, faster than ever, and with better insights and performance. In addition, both HPE and Microsoft have introduced tough security measures to protect you from cyberthreats and help you maintain data security and compliance.

HPE OEM Windows Server 2019 Licensing

And don’t forget, HPE OEM Windows Server 2019 licenses are affordable, customized, optimized for HPE ProLiant servers, and include 90 days of free HPE setup support. And if you’re still not quite ready to make the switch, HPE OEM Windows Server 2019 licenses come with downgrade rights, so you can purchase the Windows Server 2019 license and then downgrade it to Windows Server 2016 until you’re ready to upgrade.
